EventMytra respects your privacy and follows Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for people in Québec, Law 25.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email, phone number and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Orders: the tickets you buy, the names on them, and when they were scanned at the door.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Technical data: IP address and browser type, used to keep the site secure and to stop fraud.
Why we use it
- To sell and deliver your tickets, and to send order emails and text messages you ask for.
- To let organizers check you in at the door. Organizers see your name, ticket type and order number for their own events.
- To prevent fraud and keep accounts secure.
- To send event news only if you agree. You can unsubscribe at any time (CASL).
Who we share it with
- The organizer of the event you bought tickets for.
- Service providers that help us run EventMytra: Stripe (payments), our email and SMS providers, and our hosting and storage providers. They may process data outside Canada, under contracts that protect it.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for 7 years for tax purposes. You can ask us to delete your account at any time; we keep only what the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent, by writing to support@eventmytra.ca. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
